This Town Needs Guns, also known as TTNG, is a British math-rock band whose album Animals is somewhat popular on /mu/. They are influenced by bands such as American Football and Owls.
Band members and musical style[]
The band is notorious for having changed line-ups multiple times, with the only constant member being guitarist Tim Collis. The band's musical style revolves around the complex guitar work of Tim Collis accompanied by sparse, deep, basslines and drums that shift tempo multiple times per song, creating a math-rock feel to their instrumentation. Their lyrics are often depressing and deal with regret, grief, and mourning.
