Noah "Panda Bear" Lennox is a musician, visual artist and occasional actor and nude model, most well known for being a member of Baltimore based band Animal Collective. He was also a member of Jane, an electronic duo with Scott Mou. He is especially known for being the most qt 3.14 AnCo member.

History

Panda Bear was introduced to the rest of the Animal Collective gang by his childhood friend, Deakin. He was asked by Avey Tare to play drums on what would have been his first solo album, Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished. However, he was so impressed with his playing that he credited the album to himself and Panda Bear. From then on, the two went on to collaborate on every single Animal Collective record.

With Animal Collective

Along with Avey Tare, Panda Bear is the only member of Animal Collective to perform on every album. He has mostly contributed to the collective through playing drums, although he also regularly contributes as a secondary vocalist and songwriter. Some of the group's most iconic songs, such as "My Girls" and "Brother Sport" were written by Panda Bear.

Solo Work

Lennox also has a successful career as a solo recording artist. His work is just as eclectic as his work on Animal Collective, and has made albums featuring ambient electronics and folk songs. He reached success with his 2007 solo album, Person Pitch, which used reverb drenched vocals over sampled loops. His newest record, Tomboy, features a larger focus on guitars and rhythm.
