In the Court of the Crimson King

In the Court of the Crimson King is the debut studio album by King Crimson released in 1969. The album is generally viewed as one of the strongest of the progressive rock genre, where King Crimson largely stripped away the blues-based foundations of rock music and mixed together Jazz and classical symphonic elements.

In 2009, the album was re-released both on vinyl and CD with newly cut masters approved by Robert Fripp. A Stereo and 5.1 Remix was executed by Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree.
