Hinterkaifeck is the second EP by Conneticut musician Dan Barrett, under the name Giles Corey. It was released on 21 February 2013. It was written for a set of three live dates in Feb 2013.

Cover Art[edit | edit source]
The cover depicts Hinterkaifeck, a farmstead in Germany. It is the site of one of the most puzzling unsolved murders in German history, in which in 1922, the six inhabitants of the farm were killed with a pickaxe.
The cover also displays a cipher. The cipher was encrypted the same way the notorious Zodiac Killer did in encrypting his messages to local newspapers. It reads:
NOTHING NEW UNDER SUN AND MOON LORD AND LOVER SAINT AND SWAIN KNIFE AND CLEAVER LYE AND LOAM A WILD BOY TURNED OLD TOO SOON AN ELDER FIR AN ANCIENT PLAIN A BAG HEAD COME TO CLAIM HIS THRONE A SLAVE IN GOLD THAT ALL CONFORM TO ASK THE CATTLE TO INFORM YOU
