At War With the Mystics is the eleventh album by The Flaming Lips, released on April 3, 2006. It was a much more guitar driven pop album compared to their previous two records. It was received well critically, but not as glowing as the reception for their previous two albums. However, it was a very successful album commercially, and the band won a Grammy Award for the track "The Wizard Turns On..."
Although the album was seen as weaker than their previous two efforts by critics, the album remains a fan favorite for its fun pop sound and more political lyrical themes.
